Ruth Herold has been an executive director of social service nonprofits for 15 years and director of companies providing health care for an additional 3 years. She has an MA in Organizational Systems with an emphasis on Leadership & Organizational Development from Saybrook University and a BS from Pennsylvania State University in Recreation & Parks.
Christine Carr serves as the Program Manager for EGH transitional housing and EGH Day Center. Ms. Carr has worked for a variety of non-profits and feels most “at home” working for issues she feels passionate about including education, human trafficking, refugee resettlement and most recently oral health care for children. Ms. Carr earned her B.A. from Seattle Pacific University and has dabbled in continuing education getting her technical writing certification from Bellevue College.
Karen Hundrieser, our Housing Navigator, has been charged with helping EGH clients secure permanent housing, as well as assisting with Day Center operations. Karen has a rich background in human services, including being the pastor of 5 United Methodist congregations and managing a homeless shelter in Waukesha Wisconsin. Karen has a law degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law and comes to EGH through the Companis Workers Mission Association.
Michele Martin has a BS from State University of New York at Albany. She has held positions in customer service, banking, bookkeeping, marketing, and data processing. Ms. Martin is uniquely qualified to understand the needs of our clients as she was homeless and a past client of Elizabeth Gregory Home Day Center herself.
Mari Mitchell-Putnam acts as a liaison with the University Lutheran Church as well as manages assorted financial and operational administrative tasks.
Marie Norton-Olsen oversees all aspects of facilities maintenance for our transitional housing program.
EGH Day Center Coordinator
Rev. Valerie Smith is our new Day Center Coordinator. Ms. Smith has Master of Divinity from Colgate Rochester Divinity School and a B.S. in Business Management &Administration from Antioch University in Seattle. Ms. Smith brings over 30 years of experience in office management and administration as well as a career in pastoral care as an ordained minister. Ms. Smith has a rich history of civic and community affiliations and enjoys traveling, writing and being a positive agent for change.
Elizabeth Stevenson joined the EGH team in May 2016. She has been charged with increasing visibility and revenue for Elizabeth Gregory Home through communications and fundraising efforts. Elizabeth comes to EGH with over 20 years of experience in communications and development; over 15 years working with homeless service providers. She has a BA in Foreign Relations from Willamette University and is a Weinberg Fellow.
Kay Landis, Bookkeeper
Ms. Landis has provided financial management support over the past three years on a contractual basis.
